Latin Name: Kurume Rhododendron azalea

Origin: Native to Japan
​
Position: Does very well in a sunny position but should not be left out in the mid day sun as it will burn better suited to morning sun.
​
Watering: it is important that they do not dry out but must not however be left in water as they do suffer root rot.
​
Feeding: these should be fed only fertilizer designed for Azaleas, follow the instructions on the packet. While the tree is flowering it is recommended that you only feed at half strength.
​
Pests and Diseases: In times of low humidity it can succumb to spider mites and can also suffer root rot when allowing the soil to become to wet.
​
Repotting: needs to be done every 2 years preferably after the flowering season.
