Common Name: Fukien Tea

Latin Name: Chinese Fuijan

​

Origin: Native to China from the province of Fukien

​

Position:  Needs a sunny position and must be protected from cold weather and frost. Prefers temperatures of over 20c

​

Watering: Keep the tree moist as it doesn’t like to dry out, it doesn’t like to be stood in water for long periods.

​

Feeding: Half strength liquid fertilizer used monthly from spring to autumn as its roots can be quite sensitive

​

Pests and Diseases:  spider mite scale and whiteflies can affect them, use a pesticide to keep them safe.

​

Repotting:  repot every 2 years in early spring
