Common Name: Queensland small leaf Fig

​

Latin Name: Ficus obliqua

​

Origin: East coast of Queensland

​

Position:  Needs a sunny position and must be protected from cold weather and frost. Figs can endure low humidity due to its thick waxy leaves.

​

Watering: Figs should be watered generously whenever the soil gets dry

​

Feeding: Feed every fortnight during the summer months and monthly during winter

​

Pests and Diseases:  A very hardy plant however lack of light or too dry conditions can lead to leaf drop which will encourage scale or spider mite.

​

Repotting:  Repot each year or two as figs are prolific growers they handle strong root pruning
